There is no substitute for traveling. It is one thing to study Prague (or any other place for that matter) and quite another to actually be there. The day that this picture was taken, beside Prague Castle, a quartet was playing the Voltava. It is essentially the theme of Prague. It overwhelms you with emotion. Break out of your shell, travel and see what you’ve been reading about. It makes all the difference in the world.
God, The Spark of Life, and Science
The Scientific Revolution began sometime in the 17th century, but as with all such movements there is no specific date.

Honestly, the music in the street is one of my favorite things about Europe, whether it's an old man on an accordian or a skilled group like you mentioned. I wish that was more common around here… we have the drummers in front of the Art Institute, but that's all I've noticed locally. I guess it's possible that I'm not spending time in the right places.
Also, I listened to the Voltava again (you played it once at school) and it's a really amazing song!

It brings me back every time I hear it. I absolutely love it!
